**Hardware/Software:**
HP Elitebook 8440p
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
AT&T U-Verse ISP, router is a NVG589.
---
**Problem Symptoms:**
This only exists on my laptop. Not on any other PC or laptop on my local network. It started appearing in early June.
Internet browsers stop responding after a random amount of time, internet appears totally dead. I don't get any 404 pages or loading timers, the internet is just flat out dead. If I click a tab, nothing happens, no window pane messages about trying to resolve any host, nothing. Trying to use a direct IP address for a website or the router internal IP has no effect. This is the same across IE, Firefox, etc.
Torrenting still works fine, as does Skype, but Teamviewer stops responding and iTunes home library stops responding. Windows local file networking is dead, too.
I can ping out to other sites fine, too, using either their IP address or their DNS name.
---
**Steps to replicate:**
Run internet normally for about 24-27 hours. Somewhere after that the internet stops working. Usually happens while I'm not paying attention (watching a movie fullscreen or asleep, but happened tonight while I was working actively).

**Files:**
Pastebins of some tracerts and Ipconfigs taken when working and not working follow:

Services running while internet working: http://pastebin.com/4JFKJrPy
Wireshark logs from when the internet is working and when it is not working. Filter by TCP and you'll see the drastic difference. There's no activity on TCP when the issue occurs.: http://www.sendspace.com/filegroup/vpCpOfg%2Bfm6%2BXoo1mejvFg
---
**Attempts to fix:**
1. CMD prompt > netsh winsock reset
2. CMD prompt > Ipconfig /flushdns
3. CMD prompt > Ipconfig /release and /renew
3. I restarted a few services and the internet appeared to work once, but no thumbnails, pictures or content loaded. Internet soon returned to dead state. I checked the event viewer every time since then and didn't see any weird services running or stopping that coincide with the failure.
4. Stopped and then uninstalled Peerblock.
5. Ran Malwarebytes, no problems found.
6. Uninstalled Tune Up Utilities as it was governing services and shutting them down for resource purposes. Issue still persists.
7. Switched from wireless internet to wired to router. No change in behavior.
8. Reset AT&T modem.
9. Ran Windows problem solver (lol) which cannot tell there is an issue.
10. Disabled IPv6 on the wireless and wired network adapters.
11. Disabled and reenabled network adapters.
12. Ensured no proxies are running in Firefox internet settings.
13. Turned off power management on both wireless and LAN adapters
14. Cleaned Firefox and PC with CCleaner.
15. Ran Windows Repair from Tweaking.com, all steps ran.
16. Changed DNS on wireless and wired adapters to Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4)
17. Updated Windows to current updates.
18. Updated LAN driver to most current driver set.
19. Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, wiped out old session and started a new one.
20. Ensured no firewalls are running on my system.
---
So far the only solution I have is to either log out of Windows and log back in, or restart the machine entirely. The issue goes away for another 24-27 hours and then happens again, guaranteed.
