Laptop keyboard typing letters and numbers type instead

Purchased a Sony Vaio Laptop and once I updated everything since Laptop was idle for awile, when I type letters numbers type instead of letters....think I turned something on when I got stressed...was working fine until I pushed different keys to help me get out of what I was in. I touched the FN keys randomly and then I had a sticky key problem so I got that fixed and then once I turned off the sticky keys then when I started typing I would have letters and numbers but I only typed letters. Laptop keyboard has numbers above letters in the right side and seems when I type those letters the numbers show up...please help me so I can turn that off..

Maybe you've toggle the num lk (numeric keys lock). Search for item in your keyboard with something like "num lk" and disable it maybe by pushing FN + num lk (depends on your keyboard design).

It would be also helpful to take a look at the manual.
