Hi friends!

So for a long time now I have been looking for a gaming keyboard that feels literally like a laptop keyboard (low soft rubber keys with no sound whatsoever while typing).

I have googled a lot and many times I ended up here or on another forum where people suggest different keyboards.

I have bought two keyboards so far from suggestions that I thought fit my criteria:

Gigabyte Force K7 Stealth Gaming Keyboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823334017

Razer Deathstalker: http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-deathstalker

None of the two keyboards above was what I was looking for despite their descriptions.

The Gigabyte Force K7 has plastic keys, not rubbery and you can accidentally press keys just by hoovering your fingers over them, that's how sensitive it is. I know that scissor-key/low profile keys are usually somewhat more sensitive, but this is way too sensitive. I never had this problem with my laptop keyboard. Also it does NOT feel like a laptop keyboard at all and is not silent while typing.

Razer deathstalker had more "space" between the keys, also it's hard plastic and not rubbery feel, not silent
and again it does NOT feel like a laptop keyboard while typing on it. Out of those two I prefer the deathstalker but it still doesn't have the laptop-feel to it.

People who have been gaming on laptops know what a laptop keyboard exactly feels like. So far the ones that people have suggested have not even been close to real laptop keyboard.

I don't care about back-lights or macros etc, I just want a simple laptop keyboard for gaming that has anti-ghosting. I feel like I can type much faster on them also they are very silent, unlike the other keyboards that promises silence but never hold up to their promises.

Thank you!

Usually I'm grateful for all the help I can get... this time I want to punch you in the face.

You really think I would bother writing a wall of text about my problem if the answer I was looking for was that simple?
I wrote very specific what I was looking for so if you are going to be lazy and link me a site that sells keyboards, please be specific or don't bother at all in the first place.

What's next? You google the word "keyboard" and link me the result page?

Kinda like you in real life? I could tell by clicking on your profile mr "grandmaster".

I realized why your answer was so shitty, it's because the only thing you care about is your Grandmaster title and to post as much as possible to be someone on the internet.

Ohh look, you are ranked 2nd place this month! Maybe if you keep spamming shitty replies you might be #1 and then SURELY all the women will flock around you.

Grandmaster.. what a fucking joke

So you're just looking for some chiclet style keyboard or want to get a scissor switch one?

If you're looking for a scissor switch one the Creative Fata1ity and Keysonic KSK-6001UELX is the only I know of other than Force K7.

If you want a Chiclet style one, Logitech K360 might be what you want, although its not exactly a "gaming" one. Steeseries APEX [RAW] is the only other Chiclet style gaming keyboard that I know of, I have never use it, however, so I could not comment about it.

If you want something exactly like a laptop keyboard with scissor switch AND chiclet style, I'm afraid that I do not know any "gaming" model of those.

Now here is someone worthy of the Grandmaster title. i7Baby you're fired!

I think I prefer scissor switches, so I'll definitely check out the Keysonic KSK-6001UELX and the Creative Fata1ity one. I just hope that they don't feel like the Force k7 since that keyboard felt kinda plastic and not as smooth/rubbery as laptop keyboards.

I can type so much faster on laptop keyboards and isn't just because they are smaller, but I love the feedback the keys give and how fast your fingers can move from key to key unlike mechanical keyboards, at least for me that is.

Thank you for the help!

Edit: I just remembered that I had checked them both out like 1-2 years ago, I just had forgotten their names. Couldn't find the Creative Fatal1ty one anywhere in Sweden, they don't sell it here anymore. I could order the Keysonic one but I would have prefered it to be some space between the arrow buttons and the rest of the keyboard. Also I prefer when the Enter button is big, not as thin as the Shift button :)

Maybe all scissor switches are compact? I just prefer at least some space between the regular keys and the arrow keys :)

Note that if you want silence you should probably find a mech keyboard as those can be way more silent. Typing on a laptop i personally prefer the feedback, but you could find an cherry g81-8000hp for around $16 dollars. Note that do you like the feedback from keypresses because usually more silence means less feedback. Anyone who says mechs make alot of noise dont really know what they're taking about due to if you got say mx reds or mx blacks and dont bottom out they should be almost completely quiet. You could also try to mod a laptop keyboard to make your one. Can you post which laptop you like the keyboard from as laptops have different mechanisms and backplating does make a difference on the feel. I think that you might actually want the really cheap $5 dollar ones from adesso. Most keyboards have at least 3-key rollover which will be sufficient for gaming and typing. Antighosting is mostly a marketing scheme to sell more keyboards. I would look into the cheaper end like sub $20 for your keyboard unless you get a mech. Do you have a Fry's nearby or best buy? you could sample keyboards there. Also loo into logitech.
-sorry for the wall of text
