Question Laptop makes random popping sound ?

Hi,

I recently bought an HP Pavilion Plus 14-ey0625nd laptop and I decided to change the standard 512GB M.2 SSD to a 1TB M.2 SSD. So I opened the laptop up and changed the M.2 SSD, reinstalled Windows and now my laptop is making little popping sounds.

I don't think it's the speakers because it still happened after I turned the speakers off. What could this be? Did I break my laptop?

to add to this, I didnt smell anything burning.

1) Try booting into BIOS and see if you hear the same sounds. If so, this tells you it's not software related. If not, that tells you it's something in Windows.
2) Did you reinstall audio drivers from HPs website? Try that.
3) Boot into Safe Mode and see if you still hear it.
