[SOLVED] Laptop mousepad not working after installing windows 10

I have recently purchased an Asus X509fa laptop and it came with Endless OS. so I installed windows 10 pro 64bit on it but I can't seem to make the mousepad work with windows as it isn't recognizing it as an input device but rather as an unknown PCI Device I've tried updating the driver from the device manager and manually from their website but it just refuses to update.

Do you mean the touchpad?

Have you used the MY Asus app to check you have all the necessary drivers as it could be you need something else before windows knows what the device is. Its clear the PC isn't telling it. It is under the utillities menu here - https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ASUS-Laptop-15-X509FA/HelpDesk_Download/
