I just bought a laptop that said 8gb of RAM installed. I fired up DxDiag and Task Manager and they both said I only have 4gb of RAM. CPU-Z says I have 8, but the two sticks have different voltages and other things, is it not possible to use these sticks at the same time or are there steps I can take to make them work together?

Dell Inspiron 15 7559, CPU-Z says one of them is Samsung with PC3-12800 (800mhz) bandwidth and the voltages are all 1.35v, the ranks says single. The second stick has no brand, with PC3-8500F (533mhz) bandwidth and the voltages are all 1.50v and the ranks says dual.

No, there isn't, which surprised me since it is a gaming laptop. Either way, the seller ordered me a matching RAM stick to the one the system is using, so I should be able to just swap out the unbranded one and it'll hopefully work just fine.
