Our laptop suddenly won't connect to the internet. We're receiving a "Limited Access" message and when troubleshooting, it cannot find the problem.

I've restarted the router and laptop, but nothing has changed. The Wi-Fi does work on our phones and Playstation though. Anyone have an idea on what it could be?

Hey guys, I finally found the solution. If you are like me and ran the AVG update it added a security filter "AVG network filter driver" into the wireless and wired network properties. You need to uncheck this filter by right clicking your mouse on the desired network adapter you are using and select properties. Once selected, make sure you uncheck the box" AVG network filter driver" and voila, problem resolved. Hope this helps!

Where can I find AVG Network Filter Driver? I've been having problems with my wifi for the past few days. It says I have a problem with my driver so I downloaded a new one but I still keep getting Limited Access. I think AVG is the problem.

Update: i found it. lol thanks though! i hope this will work

Same problem here, nothing of the aformentioned suggestions worked for me. Two days ago I was able to connect, now nothing. I'm connecting to other networks without any problems and my other laptop and my phone are connecting to the network without problems. The network was unstable and disconnects did occur even on the other devices but now when everything's working normally my laptop still won't connect. I've got windows 10 running and I've deleted my AVG. Help pls

Hello i used to had this problem, try to restart the entire laptop, leave it alone for like 2 hours and then when you feel like it try it again
For a week i couldn't connect to network, because of that... i search for solutions everywhere and none of them helped, and suddenly i asked for a friend's help and we find a really easy solution...

we found the problem by clicking trobleshoot problems and that told us that my laptop couldn't find the IP adress of something... i mean you can check that just to be sure that's your problem

Hi. My husband's HP Notebook PC was suddenly not connecting to the internet with our pocket WIFI for few days. But before that issue I updated his PC from Windows 8 to Windows 10 and there was this much AVG updates from time to time. I wasn't sure if I clicked yes or no to makes changes to the computer. So what I did is to uninstall this AVG Technologies 2015, had the PC to restart then try to connect to my WIFI network again and YES, it works now!!!

I found that my wireless LAN was connected to two frequencies at the same time and by disabling one of them it works fine now, I disabled 2.4 Ghz and enabled 5 Ghz hope this helps anyone

What i did was:
I went to my network and sharing center and go to the wifi properties and set my ip address to obtain automatically, because i think u mess with the ip configuration

When it says limited access, it means that u have limited ip address and u have probably type in the wrong ip address
