Question Laptop shutdown after turning on ?

Hi. I found old laptop Asus F5RL. I tried to turn it on and it starts but after few seconds (after displaying Asus logo on the screen) the laptop turns off. Any ideas why it doesn't work? I will appreciate every help.

This happens even with laptop plugged in to a power socket ?

Yes. No matter if I try turn it on battery or external power supply. Its behaviour is the same

Could be any number of things, power-brick not working or laptop itself has some internal fault.

Needs bench-testing/diagnostics by a laptop repair centre to try and pinpoint the cause, but may not be worth the expense if it's old.
