Question Laptop shuts down due to Nvidia MX 330 overheating ?

Hello guys
I am using a Dell 15 3000 (3501) which has:

CPU: Intel i5-1135G7 with Iris Xe graphics
GPU: Nvidia MX 330
RAM: 16 GB (8+8) 3200mhz )
SSD 256gb,1 tb HDD

I am having an issue when my nvidia mx 330 Crosses temps to 73degrees it shuts down within 1.2 mins. for now iam using gpu tweak 2 to cap my temp to 73 so it wont cross that limit and before applying these settings i also checked on gpu z it shows my temp limit is 73.

On performance cap it shows idle but before this issue my gpu never shutdown even if it reaches 80 or above after this issue thermal throttling could be seen like gpu core frequency dipps to 139 or 600-800 but after i updated my driver on 3 june 2023 all games become stable core clock speed is fixed but that shutdown problem not change

Using driver version 535.98 driver type DCH. this shutdown problem happened to me first time on may 2022 when i was playing prince of parsia forgotten sands and temps are too much it shuts down and i tried again after it cool down but it shutdown again after that problem one week later i updated dell bios from support assist and windows update after that event and nothing changes since

So if you go into gpu tweak and set the max gpu temp to say 84 it will still throttle when going over 73C?

No it don't throttle now after driver update but it shuts down after crossing 73 reaches at 78 -80 and shutdown within 2 mins

So if you set the gpu tweak to 84c does it still shutdown at 78-80?

Yes it shutsdown and one more thing my laptop comes with single fan single heat sink setup
