Hello,
I bought a new laptop a few weeks ago.
ASUS FX553VD
GTX 1050
8GB RAM
i7 7700HQ

I have played a LOT of Skyrim on it. I started playing the day I got the laptop.
I used to have constant 60 FPS (Until yesterday morning)
However, yesterday, I went into this cave and I died there... It loaded my last save.. and it started to lag... I got 40 or so FPS and it wasn't smooth. And then after 1 min or so, the entire computer decided to shut down.
Now, when I try playing the game for more than 2 mins, it shuts itself down. I am sitting in an air conditioned room. The room temperature here is about 16 degree celsius and the the GPU and CPU temperatures aren't any more than 45.

The thing is, the same thing once happened to Witcher 3. At the very beginning, in Kaer Morhen. I used to play for 2 mins and then it used to shut down. I had recently updated the drivers and I figured that it must have been the driver issue. So I just rolled back the drivers and then started the game at the lowest settings possible. And then I increased the settings gradually...one setting at a time. And now no matter how many settings I change, the PC wont crash even at ultra settings, even in Kaer Morhen.
Please help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That solved the Witcher 3 problem (which was the same but at that time, Skyrim had no issues.). And I don't have the latest drivers installed. I have the 382.05 installed right now. The latest is 382.33 which didn't turn up to be good for me.
Should I roll back the drivers even further?

Oh and by the way, there is one other problem which might be related to this one but I am not sure.
When I click the settings icon in Nvidia Inspector, the PC crashes with a blue screen!
"Your PC has ran into some problem" with a sad face emoji.

Might be worth to try - i don't know what else you could do :/

Okay
