Question Laptop shuts down when using HDMI

Hey

I've recently bought a new laptop (HP Spectre '15 - 8 GB ram)

I use it aswell to watch movies on TV, with a HDMI cable. At the first times I tried no issues, now even when I just insert the cable in my laptop it will shut down instantly.
I tried to take another laptop to see if it was the cable, but on the other laptop I did not have that issue. So this means its my laptops issue?

We're going to need to know the SKU to your HP Spectre. To add, have you made sure your GPU drivers are up to date? You might also want to check and see if you've got any BIOS updates pending for your laptop.

I don't think I have any updates. What is SKU? and where can I see what I have?
