Laptop model: Lenovo Ideapad 330s (I believe the specific model number is 81FB00HKUS)
The laptop does seem to turn on (I can hear the fan starting up), but it has a black screen. The laptop power button LED lights turn on, however Capslock and Numlock LED lights DO NOT turn on.
What I've tried so far (in this order).
1. Plugged it on AC adapter for like at least 30 mins to make sure battery wasn't dead (turns on, no display)
1. Hard reset with power button (turns on, no display)
2. Plugged into 2 separate external monitors for testing (no display on TV, no display on PC monitor either)
3. (At this point, I noticed that the power button LED light is on, BUT Capslock and Numlock are NOT on (pressed Capslock and Numlock buttons multiple times to check, no LED at all))
4. Disconnected internal battery, plugged into AC power, tried to turn on via power button (again turned on, but still no display).
5. Disconnected the CMOS battery, held down the power button (around 30 seconds to drain the remaining power), reconnected CMOS battery, re-seated RAM, reconnected internal battery, tried to turn on (turns on, and still no display)
6. (Did reconnect to external monitor just to double check, again nothing).
Is the issue likely with the motherboard? Something wrong with board/broken or dead?
Should I even bother replacing the ram at this point for one last final check?
Any help is appreciated, thank you! (I understand as well, busy time around this time, happy holidays).
