Hello, so just recently my laptop has started to disconnect from WiFi I am not sure why this is happening as my Xbox 360 is fine and I reset my router and modem but the issue still happens with just my laptop. Now it is 4 years old but I take good care of it, I even just downloaded the current driver to my wireless card. Here is some info. My laptop is K5F2 ASUS, Windows 7 64bit home premium. Network adapter is Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 Wireless Notwork Adapter. Driver version 10.0.0.313

Please help. Thanks!

Could be wireless interference causing connection problems. See if you have any cordless phones or microwaves around your laptop when this happens. If it does happen around these devices, I suggest moving your laptop further away from them.

Ok, if this started happening after updating your driver, try this:

Open device manager
Right click your wireless card in the list
Click properties
Click on the tab that says "Driver"
Click on roll back driver
Apply settings, and reboot.

You can also try opening a command prompt (CMD)
Type in
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

Hope this fixes it.

I know it has been a while but that was because I was seeing if any of this fixed it and sadly it did not. I did rollback and the CMD but it keeps doing it and it is starting to really annoy me.

Have you tried factory resetting your router? To access your router settings you can type in the default gateway ip address in your browser

To see your default gateway in order to access it, go into cmd and type in ipconfig and look for the line that says default gateway. Type that exact number into your browser (example: 192.168.0.1)

If you tried everything else with your router, it sounds like your network card for your laptop needs to be replaced. Luckily, any user can replace their network card for a laptop, its simple as removing it and replacing it.
