[SOLVED] Laptop's keyboard is acting weird so I can't type in the BIOS password or anything. What to do?

My laptop keyboard seems to be broken because whenever I type press a key it gets stuck on it even though physically the key is not stuck. It could be a software issue or a hardware issue. I plan on buying an external keyboard to test it out again tomorrow, but I am worried that my laptop might not even detect the external keyboard since I am still stuck on the BIOS password prompt. I am wondering if it is even possible to use an external keyboard when I am not in the system ?
