According to my C: drive, I have 201 GB free out of 446 GB, so I'd expect my C drive to take up about 245 GB of space. However, when I run WinDirStat, it tells me that it only takes up 180 GB.
I've heard that there are some directories that WinDirStat can't detect or analyze, but I don't want to risk damaging my comp by deleting essential files by accident. Anyone know what might be causing this? I haven't run any recoveries recently, or anything else that could dramatically affect my hard drive like that. Also, any programs/utilities recommended for dealing with this?
