That Gigabyte mobo doesn't have crossfire, look for x8x8 PCIex16 slots speed.

Hmm maybe some ideas: my sub $800 config is actually 955BE + HD 6850CF 😛

2nd HD 6850 @ $180

$796AR total

Depending on hardware prices where u @, dun worry so much about SATA/USB 3.0 for gaming: hit a cheap 790X/790GX if u have to

Well, thanks for the answers.

batuchka, ur build doesn't have a monitor, so at least 160+. 960.
The rest(those 200 around more) you can find in a better ram(1333-1600mhz), a double capacity hd, and a 6870 despite the 6850 you suggest wich is worse.Very worse.
Of course I can switch to 955 and that's ok, but a lot of people is telling me 965 is the best I can get for games atm around those prices.
The tower I don't need.

Thanks for the advices about sata/usb. Will take em in count.

Nops am not suggesting *single* HD 6850 but CF straight away and nope 955BE works just as well as 965BE

my original build was 2 6870. in some of those benchmarks the 6850 cf doesn't even appear
