btw, I have a downright stupid question ...

lots of people seem to be editing their posts... I don't seem to have that option... seriously, I've searched every corner of my screen for a button or link (so as to not appear TOO stupid:), but I just can't find it... help... somebody... please...
(as an added incentive, think of it as helping me reduce the number of my silly posts coming at ya:)

Heh, I had to figure that out, too. On my own posts, to the right of the "title bar" are two icons. The first is for "editing" and the second is the standard "reply" button.

I don't have that button... seriously..
I have (from l to r) the little book-icon, then it says "Kodiak" then title of post... way to the right is the reply icon, but no edit icon....
weird...
maybe the webmaster just doesn't like me🙁 [sniff, sigh]

btemple hit the nail right on the head, Money is what its all about, If there was no money in it, there would be no ligatation, I have yet to meet anyone in this part of the world who had RDram, although Toms has tested it

I went to 'edit profile', there's no button which says
"Click here to be able to edit, stupid!" 🙁
Oh well, I just have to think before I write now... shouldn't be TOO hard, no? 😛

What about dumping your cookies for this place and re-log on? FYI, I use a cookie-rejector (sp?) called Coolie Pal. When I log on, I leave Cookie Pal off and take the 3 necessary cookies for this site. Then I don't take any more.

Mike

maybe its the cookies. btw see if the button is invisible 🙂 strange that. move your mouse pointer to the left of the reply button on *YOUR* posts only. is there a link? others' posts are not editable, obviously 🙂

anyway, i guess RAMBUS thinks that they have a great new technology that everybody will want to use, and Intel fell for that. I am really surprised as to how Intel agreed to that contract, especially when the DDR too was coming by then.

more than money, there is always pride associated with such large companies. i appreciated Intel's decision to recall the cc820 (and give back vc820 + RDRAM - free), P3 1.13 gigs etc. this shows how much they care for their reputation and credibility if not for the customers. imagine how much intel lost in that.

nope, no hidden links... they just don't want me to edit, thats all... they want my blurbs preserved for posterity in their intact form I guess:)

freakish...

it is easier to take others to court for money than bother to improve your own products ..... 🙂

one of the first UK T-Bird users....

huh... oddly enough, I turned "enthusiast" today and got the editing button (maybe it came on earlier today)... and I can only edit the new messages, not my old ones...

Freeakkyyy...:)

edit: yup, I can edit this one, but none of the previous ones...:)

Then Kodiak, I can only conclude that you have been touched by the computer gods. You don't happen to work around any computers that, like, launch tactical nuclear weapons or anything, do you?
