LC-Power LC6650GP3 V2.3 - GREEN POWER

Hi everybody,
does someone have any reviews on LC-Power LC6650GP3 V2.3 - GREEN POWER?
It's 80plus Bronze (http://www.80plus.org/manu/psu/psu_reports/LC-POWER_LC6650GP3%20V2.3%20GREEN%20POWER%20EDITION_ECOS%201781_600W_Report.pdf), and it costs much less then any other Bronze PSU, but I've not been able to find any review about it.

Based on specs, I'd say "junk". I can't read the label, but it is not rated for more that 38 amps at 12 volts. A good 650 watt PSU should be able to put out around 50 amps.

Based on the 12 volt output, I'd consider this more of a 500 or 550 watt PSU. And as such, it is too expensive.

Thanks very much for your suggestion. I've looked at some alternative 600-650W PSU (Cooler Master and Enermax) and they indeed have 48-50 amps on the 12 volt output.

its a huntkey 650 that tends to explode at 540 watts and go out of spec at 450 watts

the 80% plus certificate if tested at 25c but most pc's wil run into 40c or more

so if its heated to 40c it cant put out its rated wattage

and some companies to advertise fake 80% certification

Thanks for your advice, the Corsair CMPSU-650TXEU 650W you suggest me is less cheap but it'surely much more reliable!

It is not 38amps it is 52amps on 12v on spec and it is great psu for that money

There is also the possibility that LCPower/the OEM sent Ecova a cherry picked unit or a one-off which has no relation to the units you can buy in retail.

According to the specs on that page the max combined on the 12V rails is 550W/45.8. How do you know that it is a great PSU for the money? Have you used one in a power hungry system? Have you or do you know someone who has hooked it up to a load tester?

The company that sells it might be German but it is built by a Chinese company.

Ok, yes it is 45.83 combined on 12v

How do you know that it is a great PSU for the money?

Because for 50 euros you don't have better 650w psu.I was a little skeptical about this psu , because I have never heard for LC Power My 8 friends have that psu and they are very satisfied with this lc power. One of them have i5- 2500k oc at 4.5 i think, asus 6950 also oc, 2xcaviar black 2tb , kingstone ssd 120gb , and he play battlefield 3 8/7 ,min last 6 months. So far I have not heard anyone complain about this cpu . I am using it on q6600 oc to 3.8ghz , ga-x48tdq6, asus 3870x2top , 2xwd catiar blue 500gb in raid ... 24/7 last three months ...so not that they are not hungry machines

Yes , but I was a little confused with the labels mismatch about amps specs, on my psu is like on lc power web, so i think this is just mistake .

I contated lc- power and they said that it is older model , newer model is upgraded Good to know !

Got an LC Power myself. I wouldn't run high profile GPUs with it and definitely no SLI/CrossFire setup. As long as you don't stress it to much it's quite reliable, cheap and pretty quiet.

Anyway, there are better PSUs available for slightly more and if you can get one of these, don't bother with LC Power.

Hey guys! I was thinking about buying this PSU.
My system is not power hungry, but I will probably update it in future, and would like to keep the PSU.

Here are my specs:

Intel Core i3 2125
Gigabyte Z77-DS3H
Corsair 2x4GB @ 1600MHz
Samsung 830 - 64GB
LC Power Pro 970B Vendetta_X
Sony Optiarc DVD RW

No GPU (using the HD 3000)

Here is what I intend to upgrade later:
i3 2125 TO i5 3570K (or TO i7 3770K, but chances are low for i7)
Add 8 more GB of RAM
Add 1-2 HDD (WD Caviar Blue, Green or Black)
Add a GPU (GTX 660Ti (if I get the money) or some radeon within 7750-7870 series).


OK, ONE MORE THING!

IS 600W PSU which is in LC Power Pro 925B ENOUGH FOR MY CURRENT SETUP?
