Question LED Lighting on Fans in 2 PCs change at the same time

Ok I know the issue is obvious. The solution is what I am looking for, if any that is. *TLDR*

I installed the same Fan kit in 2 PCs. The kits come with remotes. When I use the remote both PCs lights change together. I figured, power one down and change the lights on the other. Then, power that one down and power up the other to change that one's lights.

WRONG! Somehow the lights still change even with the PC powered off. Apparently the Fan's LED Unit is still getting power somehow with the PC off. So then I figured to set the lights on one and then Unplug it completely to turn the other one on and set that one.

NOPE! When you unplug the power completely it resets whatever color option you picked for the LEDS, back to default.

*TLDR* So I am at a loss, do I just have to keep both PCs the same color or do you guys have another method for setting them to different settings?

In this instance, you should probbaly not have 2 systems in the same room. Perhaps see what the dead zone for the remote is and then have the system's apart beyond that radius...e.g, if the remote is effective at 15 feet, have the PC's 20ft apart. This way you don't have the remote tamper with two lighting setups.

Obvious solution beyond that, was to pick a lighting kit that didn't rely on a remote.

Ok well the distance thing won't work as they are both in the computer/gaming room. As far as getting kits that didn't rely on remotes... The motherboards don't support RGB so, if I wanted to customize the lighting, I needed to have a remote to control the lighting.

So is there nothing else that can be done?

So it must be a radio wave based remote that works on same frequency and code. There's not much you can do except maybe to shield them in a way to be more directional. That's just like radio station. one transmitter but 100s of receivers listening to same music.
Need a controller like for instance garage door remotes where each one has own code so it doesn't open garage doors in whole neighborhood. Either that or different controllers for each PC.

You think they would anticipate something like this? Maybe put Dip switches on the controller/box so that they can be set to different connections?

I think I'll open up one of the controllers and check it out.
