Leds go inside Molex?

I am changing the PSU of my PC soon as this was a pre-built, but as I am cutting zip ties and all that I notice that the leds in the front of my case are connected (soldered?) inside the actual molex. The molex itself just goes into the current PSU (Non-Modular). I can't see anyway to reconnect the wires to my new PSU (Apart from actually cutting and soldering them), so I was also going to ask if it is safe to cut them? I made sure the wires are ONLY for the leds, so it should be fine, but wanted to check first.

Yes...you can cut then strip them and splice them however you want. Just keep track...if they aren't different colors.

usually I twist them together "the long way" and solder them.....and I put shrink tube on one of the wires first.

I didn't actually plan on soldering them back, but I wanted to make sure it's ok to just cut the wire?

Sure....cut the wires.

Just don't run the old PSU with those wires dangling free. If you are going to use that PSU again, put some electrical tape or wire nuts over the ends.
