I've got to ask... Why? I've got a Surface RT (1366x768) and an Acer Iconia W700 (1920x1080) both of which have 11'ish inch screens and... I find the higher resolution of the Iconia largely superfluous. For these small screens I have to ask - what is the big advantage to these high resolutions? For output though an HDMI cable I can understand, but... Why the need for high rest on a tiny screen?

Because 1366x768 ought to be enough for anybody.
