Can't launch an affordable yet decent no-frills mainstream device in high-margin markets, it'll hurt flagship frou-frou devices' sales too much.

This one's a much better buy than its weaker brother. The difference as seen here https://versus.com/en/lenovo-vibe-k5-plus-vs-lenovo-vibe-k5 , shouldn't be worth just $20. I'm not saying though that the K5 is a bad phone, it is already a great phone for the price in itself, but the K5 plus is much better, having Snapdragon 616 and a full hd display. If I were to buy one of these, I would definitely look for $20 more to be able to buy the Plus version.
