I scored an overall score of
P5352
graphics
5626
cpu
4669

that is with a C2D 2.93ghz 1066fsb and a HD 5670
OCd 850core/1050 mem

no antivirus running
at the peformance default for free edition

I am curious about other scores
especially C2D,C2Q
but of course
you Sandybridge owners are welcome to brag 😀

and dont laugh at my score please LOL

I, certainly, will not be laughing at your score. My results:

P1788
Graphics 1367
CPU 23765.
Microsoft Security Essentials enabled.
Using i5 2500k at 4.7 on turbo.
Integrated graphics.
I was getting 1 to 6 frames per second on the graphics tests. I did not build this comp with gaming in mind-good thing.
Just wanted to add to your database. Cheers.

Well I got a P31k as a highest, but that's with PPU on which means it uses CUDA cores to do the physics so you get a bloated CPU score lol.

My real score, with PPU set to off is:

P25160
VantagePerformance-PPUOFF.png

I did this a while ago, not sure if I could maybe beat it now or not with different OCs.

Okay, I'll chime in... But also on the i5-2500k bandwagon... 😉

P21074
Gfx 22077
CPU 18547

My first build.
i5-2500k oc'd to 4GHz @1.190v
EVGA GTX570 reference stock

...with IE9, VLC, Online Armor (Learning Mode-kept crashing benchmark with constant popups on Advanced) Firewall, ESET Nod32 AV, Webroot Spy Sweeper, Steam (downloading game), etc. running in background. :sarcastic:

I already have nefarious plans to convince the wife that
I need a new build for work
Planning on a I3-2100 P67 or if budget is tight a Pentium G620 P67
I can always upgrade CPU later(I5 2400)
and the Pentium G620 would still be a nice upgrade on my C2D 3ghz

Question: It is possible to OC a non K series by using the FSB and upping volts on a P67 or Z68 board? isnt it?

I don't know, I have a K version.

Well back in the old dark days before I-series you could OC the PCI to match up to your ram and cpu oc

too bad there isnt a way to OC the other "busses" on a SB

Oh well I would be happy with a I3-2100 stock
Really my C2D at 2.93ghz handles most of what I do just fine
Recording/converting streaming video (netflix, xfinity etc) is the one thing
that really strains my system

I can only get about a 640x480 xvid 2048kbps/mp3 128 with a full 1920x1080 screen

so no recording streaming HD 🙁

Now if the my wife can understand that recording HD (building new system) is more important than the family vacation than I would be set LOL

Hmm. Well the problem with changing PCI is that it will mess up with any cards you have installed. I actually spent a while testing it out (1156 and 1366 allow you to change it) and eventually I lost my ability to connect to the internet and later on things started randomly messing up.

Unfortunately this was a while ago and that post is... well, I don't know what I named it so it's basically gone =/

I am torn between a OCd X 3 Rana or 955 or a I3-2100 actually
stock the 2100 will beat the 955 but I wonder if I got a good OC
would it be a match
but also it would be nice to have a 1155 platform for upgrades later

to be honest it seems that the AM3 socket is on its way out
not right away but I wonder if in a year or two ir it will be EOL
they already have LLano on a different socket (FM1?)
usually with any major CPU tech changes they need to change sockets
though I hear Bulldozer can work on AM3
