lexmark X1150 but no spooler

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax (More info?)

i use the install cd, and it tells me
that the spooler isnt on, if i want to install i have to
press ok to star it, i press ok, then it just disapears
with no error message, ive tryed to start it with the
Services, but it gives me an error saying it cant start it.
so its gotta be XP, sum where... sigh
any one know?

From the command prompt type:

net start spooler

If you get a 1068 Service or Dependency error, then you haven't uninstalled
correctly before reinstalling. See:
