I recently spilled water onto my graphics card listed in my signature and am now in the market for a new one.

My budget is $300-400 and I was hoping to get a sizable increase in performance/visuals.

Can someone suggest GPU's in that price range that you've had experience with (good or bad)?

I would like the suggestions to fall within my budget and work with my MoBo, but if not no worries. Thanks!

I have a Gigabyte gtx 970 G1 gaming and its really great if you do gaming then its great i play Far cry 4 and it never goes below 60 with vsync on.
also its 355 on amazon or newegg

Basically I spilled water on my desk which rolled off and down through my top fan and onto my gpu.

Do you think it's worth saving for a 980?

its not worth the extra 200 dollars and if your into overclocking you can get your gtx 970 to perform like a 980 onl difference being vram
but if not overclocked still performs pretty great
