Hi,

My computer is an HP EliteDesk with an Intel i7 8th Gen CPU.

I have LG 43UN700-B 4K monitor. I'm also using a 4K DP to HDMI Uni-Directional Cable.
The iGPU on the EliteDesk PC is an Intel UHD Graphics 630. But the highest res option I have in my Display settings is 1920 x 1080.

I've looked in the Intel Graphics Command Center, but there is no option (that I can see) to change this resolution. It seems like that iGPU should be able to display 4k ?

When I use a DisplayLink 4K hub, I can get resolutions higher than 1920 x 1080, just at a lower refresh rate.
I also tried using an HDMI cable with a ThinkPad L390 laptop and I was able to get 4K resolution.

Could there be something hidden in the BIOS maybe?

thank you

Which specific i7 8th gen cpu? You can check Intel's website for your specific cpu's specs. For example, the specs for the Intel Core i7-8700 Processor are:

Max Resolution (HDMI) 4096 x 2304@24Hz

Max Resolution (DP) 4096 x 2304@60Hz

https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...-12m-cache-up-to-4-60-ghz/specifications.html

You can also check HP's website for your specific model Elite Desk just in case HP is limiting your resolution.
