My plasma LG Plasma 60PV250 seems to have a max refresh rate of 60 Hz - is this correct? (On this page http://www.lg.com/au/tvs/lg-60PV250-plasma-tv it says '600Hz Max Sub-field Driving Yes (600Hz MAX)' I don't even know what that means).
HWInfo seems to think its a different model (50pc1dr-ua) and thinks it has a 'maximum pixel clock' of 160 mhz, and lists one supported mode as 1920*1080 pixel clock 138.5 Mhz - is this relevant? Also, in the tv setup there are various modes available, including a 'gaming' mode - should I select that? I can't find any discussion of the modes in the manual!

I like the big screen, but I'm wondering if for gaming I'd be better using my benq RL2455HM - any thoughts on this?
I'm confused by the different measures thrown around here - refresh rate, response time etc. Is there an easy guide I can start to look at to understand the terminology etc to properly compare different monitors / tv's for gaming?
Thank you

I'd try both and decide what you like. A lot of the which is better is kinda subjective. With TVs over monitors, you get better response time on monitors usually, but better size with TVs for the price. I run a 55in Samsung 4k TV as my monitor and I game on it, but I'm not a competitive gamer by any means any more and I don't care about those few ms I'm missing out on. I've gamed on 5 different brands of TVs, the Polaroid was bad, the Panasonic was all right, the Sceptre was good, the Sharp was bad, and the Samsung I'm using now is pretty decent. From what I remember, gaming on a Plasma is all right, in fact a lot of people recommended it back in the day against LCD TVs.

Thanks, so, for gaming would I be better using the benq, or is the lag (or whatever term I should use) going to be about the same so I'm better off with the larger screen?
