Hey guys, so lately i've been getting tons of components together for an ultimate pc build. So, im sorta done but ive just been stuck on motherboards and cpus. I was looking into getting this mother and cpu combo.
Motherboard: http://bit.ly/NxB5Ap
CPU: http://bit.ly/JROuie

Now, I was thinking this was great an all but I wanted to get a 4th gen CPU >> http://bit.ly/11biN8x . But the only problem is that I noticed its for a LGA 1150 socket and the motherboard is a LGA 1155 socket. Will this work for the motherboard? If not, what motherboard should I get that fits it? Or is the i7-3770k good enough? I really need help with this guys and id really appreciate it. Thank you!

P.s. If you're wondering what kind of pc I was gonna build it was for like work and extreme gaming!

Dont opt for a haswell over ivy
Reasons
1. Only 5-10% marginal increase in haswell from ivy
2.haswell produces more heat than 6 core sandy bridge e processors so ivy cpu would b better overclocker
3.there is no news that the 1150 socket would support further generation processors

I hope thats what u would all need to know

earnt is not a word, its "EARNED." misspelling as such makes it look like you don't know what you're talking about.

"Earnt" can be used in the place of "earned", despite not being an "official" word. It matters not, since what I'm saying is true anyway.

You've only posted 8 times in the past year, and you turn up simply to make a flimsy criticism?

Your move, pal.

P.S. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/earnt - enjoy.

More specifically - "This is an uncommon (<0.5% as common as earned in the British National Corpus) but entirely acceptable alternative form of the simple past and past participle earned"

Acceptable by who? Acceptable does not mean it is correct. Wiki is never a fully reliable source. I think they teach you that in elementary school.

Agreed Ivy/1155 all day. Haswell uses more wattage, runs hotter, overclocks lower, doesn't offer significant performance increase and on top of it all costs more and so do the 1150 boards you need to use it. Haswell has it's place in the mobile arena due to better graphics and lower power usage (mobile only) But as far as the desktop enthusiast market it doesn't offer enough performance and has too many drawbacks to be considered a viable enthusiast platform. Also when the next gen "broadwell" releases on the 1150 socket it is rumored a new board will be needed anyways due to different power delivery systems.

** earnt is not a word, its "EARNED."

That should be "it's earned" with an apostrophe

Be sure that your spelling is perfect before insulting others as "misspelling as such makes it look like you don't know what you're talking about."

Not correct, it's common in Australian English, and less common in British English to use earnt.

That is a correct usage.

Yes, works like burned and burnt.

how can remembering how to spell a word be related to technical ability? You must be a teacher if you think that!

Rather ridiculous that this turned out to be a battle of "English". It's completely ignorant and ridiculous to judge someone's thought process and legitimacy purely on the way that he/she spells. It seems more and more common, especially on the Internet, for people to ignorantly assume that their is a definitive single path that all English speakers should follow, and that any and all variation is somehow a sign of mental deficiency.

Anyways, thank you for the info. I will probably try to get an Ivy Bridge, while it lasts, considering the details I have read and it seems that Ivy Bridge processors are somewhat cheaper so it looks like it would be the best in terms of performance to price ratio.

Sure.... 'Earnt' is a word - in the same sense 'use' or 'yous' is a world that is used in place of 'you guys' or 'you people' by the half-wit kids of today.

Yes it was petty to call out 'earnt' but it is just as stupid to fight for its use.
