First of all, whats are the thoughts on the LGA 775 setup? I will be buying a Pentium 4c 3.0GHz (800mhz FSB) within the month. Should I go with the new LGA775 socket or not? Why or why not?

Second, I know if I do not go with the new LGA775 setup the board of choice would be the ABIT IS7, is that correct? Well, if I do go with the LGA775, what would be the board of choice?

Thanks for the help,

Dan

PS - is there any upcoming price cuts I should know about that may create a more opportune time to upgrade?

well yeah that would be the best board to get, or at least a good board to get.
However:
the 925x is going to be obsolete in 2-3 months!!
the 925xe is going to have massive front side bus increases, the only real reason to go 775 in the first place.

dont follow and believe the scam... Intel is not done yet and you wont be getting the best system if you buy that now.

I would just buy a 3.2 ghz p4 and a tried and true mobo with agp video card. There is no difference in any noticable performance gains in going pci-express. Some say the frames go up, er, just get a new video card like a 6800GT. shrugs.
