Lga775 to lga1156

Hello. I would Like to upgrade my compute by replacing my motherboard. my current motherboard has a lga775 intel pentium D 820 a 160gb hard dive I think I have some DDR3 ram (Is that right?) ANd I changed my graphics and sound card.

I aqsk a friend of mine and he said I would need to check to see if all my current stuff would be compatible with the new motherboard.

I am also planing on buying a new processor at the same time since I know that lga775 is the processor socket type and that I would need a newer processor to do it.

I would like to get a Intel Motherboard BOXDH55TC Intel H55 LGA1156 DDR3 PCI-Express 2.0x16 Audio Microatx Retail and a Intel Core i3 Processor i3-540 3.06GHz 4MB LGA1156 CPU BX80616I3540.

I am using a old gateway that was made sometime back in 2005 and I changed the graphics card to a MSI nVidia GeForce GT 520 1 GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI Low Profile PCI-Express Video Card N520GT-MD1GD3/LP and the sound card is a ASUS PCI 5.1 Channel Sound Card XONAR_DG. I am also using windows 7 professional.

(i think) IF you need more info on my compute to tell me if I can upgrade than pls ask!.

Can u tell us what's your budget? There could be a combo for better price. What country u are shopping in?

price is no concern but I did find this on amazon new for a total of $185.51. I am shopping in America and I have amazon prime so I got like 50% off on both(well arround 50%.) I dont think there is a better price because the without the saving it was like 220 for the motherboard and 160 for the cpu.
