life expectancy of core i5 4440?

Solution
No problem 😛 Well, I doubt the prices of the I5 4440 will go down. And Intel may have released Broadwell by then which MIGHT cause the prices of the new Haswells to drop. (highly doubt) However if the prices for the I5 4440 drop during this period then it would still be very much in "marketing" condition :) Normally even when Intel releases new processors the old CPU's don't drop in price, unlike the GPU market. They would be much more likely to drop the price if they were receiving competition from AMD, but unfortunately, AMD just can't seem to keep up competition now in that range 🙁

The I5 4440 is still plenty powerful though. Still a very neat processor, able to run all the latest games on max 1080p when paired with a good GPU.
There is no such thing as a life expectancy. Even if the product is discontinued from manufacturing it will work 100% fine. The life expectancy could probably be around 10 years? Depending on how you use it, what sort of applications you use, and how well you keep it. For example, my old Pentium 4 processor has been working perfectly fine in the last 8 years, because I have never overclocked it, etc, etc.

Sorry man! Its my mistake that i didnt make my question clear!
I meant to ask about the "marketing" life period of the product
I am thinking of buying it in Feb 2015
Will intel still have mercy on it's soul until that time?
