Hi all.

I'm still a novice when it comes to building systems - this is my third and I'm having an issue that I would appreciate any advice on.

(The important) Components:
Asus P8Z77-V Motherboard
Intel Core i5 3570K
16GB (4x4GB) Kingston DDR3 HyperX G RAM

Built the above and system would not initially boot. Used MemOK function on motherboard and still no joy - eventually through continued trials found that system would boot with RAM in slot B1 and/or B2 but if any RAM was in A1 or A2 it would not boot at all. Searched the web and found one suggestion that this RAM shouldn't be used with this board due to voltage. Replaced with CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B (Corsair 1.5v) but problem remains and is identical in terms of lanes.

I have inspected the CPU and motherboard's CPU socket and cannot see any bent pins on either.

I appreciate it is always impossible to guess what the problem is but what I would like to ask is if there is a chance that the motherboard itself may be faulty or does this behaviour suggest that is not the case?

Any help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
