Hello so I heard that theirs a possibility where you can hook your HDMI monitor to the motherboard HDMI rather then the graphic card and override, the on board graphic that way, is that possible, reason I ask is my monitor has an HDMI cable and its hooked to my gpu and I have oculus rift which also requires the graphic card HDMI port. my graphic card is a MSI GTX1070 my mother board is GA-Z270-HD3P.

Do you mean '' using both .. the hdmi or whatever gpu connection from your graphic card PLUS the integrated/motherboard gpu signal, at the same time !?
If so well I doubt its possible, that's why dual graphic cards needs an SLI connection to bridge them together , For what I know .. Bios dedicate one MB address/peripheral(s) ''under SLI like bridges'' only when it comes to graphical interfaces.

So then it is truly impossible? to link your graphic card as the main source rather then using the on board graphic, I was hoping to have my graphic card do all the work with linking the monitor hdmi to the motherboard rather then the gpu, and have my vr hdmi linked to my graphic card and make them both run off my graphic card rather then the on board graphic in that sense.
