hi

im have a ga-x48-ds5 board. i want to overclock it. i have read some sutff that you should disable before you start ocing.

i have disable. C1E, spread spectrum, speedstep, thermal control.

and i came upon this setting on my board.

loadline calibration.
in the manual it says: lets the bios fine-tune the cpu vcore voltage.

should i disable, enable, auto? since you are going to increase or decrease your vcore.

Solution
Load Line Calibration reduces or removes the drop in voltage that occurs under load that can destabilise an overclock. There are reasons why you might want to leave it disabled but I don't know if those reasons outweigh the benefits of enabling it. By the way, don't disable thermal control unless that's just to do with fan speeds. There is absolutely no reason why you'd want to disable your CPUs ability to protect itself from overheating.
