after formatting eith WIN7 .. my western digital HDD's local disk is not being shown in my computer. PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!! 300gb and its content missing!!

Right click my computer, hit manage, go to disk management, you will likely see a hard drive which says "offline", right click it and initialize the disk. I've had this happen occasionally with flash drives and external hard drives.

edit: I'm assuming you are talking about a secondary drive, not a drive missing while you are installing windows, correct?

Hi there sreekiez,

Is this your OS or secondary drive?

I would be nice if you start with just updating your MOBO drivers as Emerald suggested.
In case the issue persists, it would be nice to provide a screenshot of Disk Management. You may need to use some data recovery software: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html

@xoiio Initializing could be data destructive.

Let us know how this goes,
