I've not used a Razer mouse, but I can remap the individual buttons on my Orbweaver and have them automatically swap profiles depending on the active application just like SetPoint for my MX Revolution. That indicates their mice can do the same thing.

That is excellent news. I tried to find this out several years ago, short of actually buying a mouse, but I could not find it in the reviews. It was like none of the reviewers cared about anything other then DPI and maybe weight of the mouse. It was infuriating. Good to know Razer is doing it too. Time to give their mice another look. Thank you!

I'm a programmer and I use my macbook pro with Performance MX almost 15 hours per day. I replaced the original battery with a 3000mAh LSD NiMH (Low self-discharge nickel-metal hydride) one, it is slightly bigger than regular AA battery, but it will fit in MX and will last roughly 2 week before dying. I admit that I use keyboard more often than the mouse and use trackpad sometime. But its battery performance is not that bad. Just go get a larger battery.

Setpoint does not allow you to remap the tilt wheel either on the Performance MX per application unless you downgrade to Setpoint 4.65 an install Uberoptions.

If so, that's a limitation of the mouse, not the application. My MX Revolution with SetPoint 6.65 can do this. No special drivers, hacks, or utilities required.

Now that I am actually looking at my Setpoint settings personally I do not believe it is a limitation of the mouse. Logitech only allows you to remap buttons 4,5,7 and 8 per application. Buttons 1,2,3,6 and 9 cannot be remapped per application. But in the main settings you can remap buttons 3-9. Its a simple modification to the user.xml file located in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Logitech\SetPoint to enable the buttons. For a $100 mouse there should be no such limitation IMHO

For me personally button 6 remapped per application is essential.
Excel - Insert row
Word - Copy
Windows Explorer - CTRL + Enter (open folders in new window)

Button 9 remapped per application is also essential
Excel - Delete row
Word - Paste
Windows Explorer - App switcher
