Hello, I bought a Logitech wireless mouse 510 series a couple of days ago, and i have been trying my best to make the forward and back buttons to work, I downloaded the all the software for it, I have the forward and back buttons set to page forward and page back. And i have yet been able to make them work. And i cannot find any answers to solve this problem. I have come to tomshardware to try and resolve this problem before i return the mouse. If anyone knows how to fix this, or what the problem may be, I could really use some help, thanks!

Solution
i kinda forget how in windows 7 atm haha been some time but 8 is right in the task manager when u ctrl-alt-del.

i should have said it a lil better

1. disable logitech download assistant from startup
2. uninstall setpoint
3. restart pc
4. locate usb devices with logitech download assistant drivers in the device manager
5. change them back to the basic clean functioning microsoft signed drivers
6. check unhide hidden devices on the top tool bar and do the same if another one shows itself
7. restart pc

i have the same mouse for a year now. people experience problems from windows update getting the logitech download assistant. sure enough it happened to me without knowing and i had setpoint and the download assistant giving me some pretty bad mouse and kb latency. it instals itself as a hidden driver and connects to the internet on every startup and is known for issues.
other than that im not sure.
