[citation][nom]El_Capitan[/nom]Looks nice... but $70+ for a keyboard? I'm doing fine on my $5 keyboard.[/citation]
I'm using a OEM HP keyboard. Small, sexy, lightweight. I hate bigass heavy keyboards (I tossed my $100 keyboard because it was too big and heavy, just wasn't comfortable).

Some of use also aren't interested in backlight keyboards.
Learn to type, you're supposed to be a bunch of techies...

The G11 costs about $120 locally... even with the Canadian dollar almost on par with the American. This will be insanely expensive...

omnimodis... are you saying there is a finite no. of stories they can put out, and that having one about a keyboard somehow stops them reporting other news? If you don't want to read about a keyboard... the article's name should have warned you enough not to click on it.

If you want a specific news story, just ask for it instead of whining in another news thread... imagine if you were going to buy a keyboard, only to find out this was better and just about to hit the shops right after you bought a different one.

They couldn't have added one more color (green) to the lineup and let you pick ANY color you wanted? Of course not, the choices are red, blue, or magenta. How enticing.

Red and Blue LED lights, those are their main selling points? Wonder if they patented the thing. The poor green buck. Nobody wants green anymore.

They manufacture a low-profile illuminated keyboard with simple white lighting that I find far more appealing. Even the blue light on my computer annoys me if working in the dark.

I picked up a slightly different backlit version from Newegg about a month ago and it is all that I had hoped for. I've even had one of those, "Why did I wait so long?" moments until I realized that it was because I was waiting for the right price point which, in my case, was $40 🙂

Anyone who is interested in this should also look at the Saitek Cyborg. That one has sections which can be set to one of four colors (red, green, yellow or orange) and also has microphone/audio and USB ports on it. However, the USB on the cyborg is dedicated and not shared as this one is described to be. We will see how this model compares when it comes out but for now, I am leaning towards the Cyborg being my favorite still.
