Benchmark wise, its best to go with AMD, and then later, once you an buy a 970 or 980. Thats a much better approach to this build. If your sold on the 960, then go with it!

are you not reading the previous post? the r9 290 is the same price as the 280x but way faster, so why did you add it?
you dont need a z97 board for a locked i5. you also keep changing your budget over and over, you have to decide on a budget so we can help.
