Hey I've been looking around on line and I can't find any good answers. I'm looking for a completely wireless gaming headset that I can use effortlessly between my Xbox One X, PS4, and also PC. I've been told that I can use Xbox Astro A50's with the PS4 and PC if you plug the optical cable from the PS4 into the A50 base and switch it to "PC" mode. Can anyone confirm this? Or guide me in the right direction for headsets?

I'm not sure if they're compatible with the Xbox, but the Playstation Gold and Platinum headsets are fairly nice. There may be better universal options, but the audio quality on the Gold sets are fantastic. I haven't picked up the Platinum yet (hefty price tag), but they're supposed to be better than the Gold, which I'm really curious about.

There is one issue that I can report with the Gold headset: The hinges for the ear pieces get weaker with age. The number one reported issue is the hinges break fairly easily on the headset. I've had mine for a few years now, and they're still in one piece, but they creak and I'm afraid to over extend them.

That said, they are advertised to work with PC and anything with a 3.5mm jack. They do...

So maybe they're not your best bet, but the audio quality is great.

Here's the link to the manual if you want to check them out more: https://secure.cdn.us.playstation.com/manuals/ps4/CUHYA-0080_Headset_IM_US-CAN-LA.pdf
