Looking for a CPU ONLY to update BIOS so i can use my CURRENT CPU

So I Just bought a Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 board with an FX-8150 3.6 GHz Eight-Core processor, just read on the Gigabyte website that I have to update the BIOS before the FX CPU will even run, so basically I'm looking for the cheapest possible compatible CPU that I can buy just to update the BIOS and send back. Any help is appreciated!

Looks like your board supports AM3 and AM3+ so a Sempron 140?

Yeah. Check Ebay or tech site's for sale/for trade forums. Someone probably has a CPU you can get for $10-$15.

Have you tried the FX yet? Most come from factory updated for a while now so unless old stock it may work out the box

And even the gigabyte site says you have to update the BIOS to get it to run the FX series, as it is not running atm.
