Sapphire is better than HIS. GDDR5 is much better than DDR3. This is why I don't like low end Nvidia cards. Because they use slow DDR3. DDR3 can transfer maximum 6.4 Gb/s while GDDR5 has maximum output of 625 Gb/s. It's much much faster and why Nvidia really gimped their low end cards. Their GT 640 are just the GTX 650 with DDR3, not GDDR5. The reason why GDDR5 isn't 10 times faster is because of the bandwidth. To allow the maximum memory performance, the bandwidth must be big enough. For GDDR5 to be truly 10 times faster, the bus has to be ten times wider too (1280 bit interface vs 128 bit interface) This is also why the GTX 780 isn't twice as fast as a GTX 760 despite having twice the shader count. If the GTX 780 has a 512 bit interface, then it would be exactly twice as fast the GTX 760 with 256 bit interface. Sorry for the explanation, but hope this helps!
