Well, I am not sure what else you mean, but here goes:

In additon to the specified MOBO, CPU and RAM:

tower

dvd burner is a BenQ 1650, which is old, but a GREAT burner

getting a PCI car with an ata adapter, like this for my extra old PATA drives.
I have three

Old Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers.

LG 20" monitor (DVI)

Belkin USB hub

Epson NX300 printer

Microsoft wireless USB keyboard and mouse.

I have no more money, so no more room for upgrades. can you explain or give an example of where I might see a bottlenck?
The MOBO comes with ATI Radeon HD3300 graphics built-in 128MB DDR3 1333MHz SidePort Memory

shouldn't I be okay for a few months without a new card?

I am upping the PSU to this

the AMD package just went up $25 in the last hour, too. what the hell?

IF your going to get any PSU, get the corsair or antec at that low of a wattage. I've only seen 1 rosewill that's descent enough for them but, i dont even think i would recommend it.

Well getting a top notch amd quad and a onboard gpu, you should be ok till later on, for what you do, it's ok.

okay, real quick. Newegg upped the cost of the combo deal $25- I hate that stores do this (upping the prices at the last minute). So I may go back to the Intel for that reason.

If I went back to the Intel Q8200 with Gigabyte p41 and the same GSkill PI Black RAM, that would be a good system or at least be good for what I do. The P41 has integrated video (Intell 4500) so I sohuld be okay there for awhile.Trhat would leave a little extra cash for the Antex PSU you recommend.

Would there be a huge difference between the two systems, out of the box?

Only difference is the 940 x4 being more future proof, the Q8200 will still be able to do everything you do with no hiccups. You can do either that or just lower your x4 to the x3 720be.

By the way, Which case are you puting all this prodcut into? because it might be able to use micro atx as well as atx motherboards, if that is so, theres more micro atx motherboards with onboard gpu's.

Thanks, FullMetal.
I will most likely go with the Intel. I like their processors and in a year or two, I can make this machine my home PC (I don't game there either) and then build a new-new work PC.

I plan on getting the Antex 300

It doesn't show that it's micro ATX, but I have checked many forums, including this one, and people say that it is.

I cannot find any G41 boards that support atx onboard video motherboards, only Micro atx. The antec 300, did you already purchase it? if not, might want to look at a case that will support both atx and micro atx.

The 300 does support atx and M-atx. I just talked to Antec.

I could be persuaded, but I really don't think I need a nice card. Nice board, perhaps.

What would be the gain? Performance in operating speed? Being more flexible to upgrade down the road.

Can you say, wihtout too much trouble on your part, what is wrong, or where the current board selection is weak?

Great! I had said Gigabyte P41, but I meant the G. would the G43 be much better (worth the extra $15)?

Difference in these boards is the northbridge/southbridge chipsets/fsb/more connections it has. It does have a pci-e x16 2.0 slot in it which is good but, its not an up-to-date board.

Using this as an office material computer/video , your pretty much set but, for video looking, you'll want something a little beefier so you can make sure theres no problems, HD 4670 for example.

The asus has 6 Sata 3g/bs Onboard storage devices to Gigabytes 4.

and the port the asus has dvi and Display port,

thats about the only difference i see in them, so if your going to get an hdd for the asus, make sure its sata, it has only 1 IDE

Oh gees i didnt even see your psu, make sure your psu is worth the buy, thts 430watts on 1 18a 12v rail. Thats just as worse as the psu i saw a little while ago, 700w on 2 12v rails of 18a.

You want to make sure your psu will manage everything in your build.

Your going to need atleast $45+ for a descent psu.

so would this one be acceptable? does the three rails just split up the power better>
