***LONG POST***

Hey guys.
I am looking to upgrade my gpu. The problem is I'm not sure which GPU I should get.

Basically, I play mostly triple A games such as Rainbow Six Siege and Overwatch.
I have a 144Hz BenQ XL2411Z monitor and therefore I want to use all of its potential.
My full computer specs are here:
i5 6600K overclocked to 4.4GHz @ default voltage
CPU Cooler is the Arctic Xtreme Freezer Rev.2
ASUS Z170 Progaming
HyperX Fury 2x8GB 2133Mhz
WD Black 1Tb
Corsair Force LE 240Gb
I use Windows 10 Pro if that changes anything.
SeaSonic 620W Bronze Active PFC (no idea what this means)

My first question is; which gpu should I get if I want to play those games at over 144 frames constantly? Lowering graphics a bit isn't an issue for me. I don't mind too much about graphics but I do want them to be at least half decent. I used to play on medium settings on Siege and it was really nice, I just didn't get enough frames to suffice my needs.
Some people said I should get a 1070, some have said 1080. Which one should I get? this is really important because if I should get a 1070, that means I can get one now, but if it's a 1080 I'll have to wait.

Second question: Will my PSU provide enough power for my entire system in both scenarios? 1070 and 1080 that is.

Third question: Does the brand and model of the card matter? Like a Gigabyte G1 or Windforce? From my understanding, it's a matter of factory overclocks and differences in design and aftermarket cooling.
Also, is Galax a reputable company that I can confidently purchase one of their graphics cards? They are much cheaper than other aftermarket GPUs in my country.

Last question: Will there be a bottleneck by my CPU? I doubt it as it's a 6600K and with my current overclock my CPU doesn't go above 57 degrees Celsius, and I'm pretty confident I can push it much further if I increase the voltage.

Thank you for any kind of help!

A 1070 would be good, but you say you want to stay above 144fps at all times. For AAA games a 1080 will get you to that level at better settings than a 1070 would. For PUBG for instance, you'd want all the videocard power you can throw at it. I'm sure though that you could hit those numbers with a 1070 as long as you were willing to drop settings to get it. With a well optimized game, like Overwatch, a 1070 is more than enough. A 1080 allows for you to be more demanding in performance even in the worst case scenarios. Whether it's worth it is something only you can decide.

That power supply and overclocked CPU should be enough for either card.

which GPU do you have now? You can get something like a gtx 1050 or an rx 560 for a good price to performance ratio, 1070 is getting more balanced, and 1080 is more high-end. I suggest you take a look at gpu.userbenchmark.com. It has a lot of in-depth analysis-es and benches from users who use the site and you can see various factors like price, value, speed, and sentiment.

Right now I'm with an R9 380 2GB one.
A 1050 isn't an option. My options are either a 1070 or a 1080. I don't want a GPU that is worse than those two simply because it's a waste of money in my case as I need the power.

First of all, thanks for taking the time to explain me and answering my questions!
Second, I actually got an offer for a 2nd hand Zotac 1080 AMP for about $550 that was used for just less than three months. I think I'm gonna take that offer.
I also have another offer for another 2nd hand card, this one being the MSI Gaming X Gtx 1070 for.. well Idk for how much. He hasn't stated. But I believe I'm just gonna take that 1080.
Thanks a lot!
