Hey everyone I'm looking to add a little more performance to my setup. I game on a 144hz asus monitor and get decent FPS in most games. Running 144hz though is just as taxing as 1440p. I mostly play league of legends but am still getting some FPS drops in big fights. Not sure if adding another 780 is in my budget since the 970 is just that much cheaper.

I'm also on the fence about upgrading my CPU instead of graphics. Was looking at a 4790k and getting something a little newer. Which upgrade would be the most impacting?

Here's my setup:

i5 2500k @ 4.5ghz
asus gtx 780 OC II
24gb gskill Ram
128GB samsung 840 ssd

No, if the power supply was having problems, you would be dropping out of games, computer resetting etc.

The 970 is only a little faster than the 780. It is not worth the cost. By far the best value is SLI 780s.

Yes, Corsair CX is not the best of power supplies. 780s draw about 250W each. I'd get a 1000W supply. The best value in a top quality power supply is the EVGA P2 1000W.

I noticed the 780 is pretty expensive now. Get a used one on EBAY.
