Looking for compatible M.2 drive for MSI Z170A SLI PLUS motherboard

I'm looking for a 240gb drive that will work with my motherboard, but I have no idea how to distinguish which storage devices are compatible. If someone could either explain to me how to tell if a device is incompatible, or point me in the right direction of a sub $200 250gb m.2 drive that'd be fantastic.
