[SOLVED] looking for good bridge mode routers

Over the years, I have replaced more than six TP-LINK routers, roughly one per year. All the functions of these routers are still working except one, the one I need, i.e. bridge mode. My main router is one story above. I need to connect the secondary router to the main router via bridge mode. I guess the component TP-LINK uses for the bridge mode is not a quality one. It never lasts over one year.

Any recommendation for a good router for bridge mode?

Why not buy a device that is designed to be a bridge? Something like a Ubiquiti loco M2. About $50 new.
