Hi, I am a gamer and am thinking in the next year I am probably going to need to do an upgrade on my graphics card for some of the more visual intensive games. I am wanting to get your opinion on best upgrade and performance. Here is what I have currently...

I am wanting to get your opinion on best upgrade and performance. Here is what I have currently...
Where are you located? What is your budget for your GPU upgrade? What is your preferred site for purchase? What PSU did your prebuilt come outfitted with and how old is the unit?

Just a side note, I wouldn't drop a power hungry GPU into that chassis due to poor thermals(lack of proper intakes in typical Dell fashion).

Next year is going to be next year, you're better off asking this then.

We don't even have any concrete numbers about the upcoming GPUs yet, let alone what happens next year.

A big factor is what is the wattage of your power supply? Is it barely able to power to 4060 Ti, or do you have enough to power a stronger graphics card? I'm not sure about the Alienware line, but if it's anything like the Dell XPS line, they will offer one of several power supplies, depending on how the machine was originally specced out. When I bought my XPS 8940, I made sure to look for one with the top power supply available for that model, so I could put in a better graphics card later. Oh, and the power supplies Dell uses usually aren't standard ATX power supplies, so to get a power supply upgrade, if one is available, means going to back to Dell for it, or getting a used one from a system breaker on ebay.

youll need a new psu before even thinking about a gpu so unless alienware have a higher custom psu meaning expensive meaning only alienware make them for that board. you may be out of luck. as you have a 500w in that unit from what i can gather.
