Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I have a minidump file - where do I upload this to share?
You can host your files on a site akin to DropBox or Wetransfer and then pass on a link to the file for us to see them.

Got a link to the ram kit you're working with?

So were you ever able to restart successfuly or are you stuck with BSOD?

I pre-emptively uninstalled a cumulative update preview (KB5050094 ver 24H2) - installed on 30/1 so the timing is a little suggestive.

update:
Also, when I recently updated that AMD APU driver (to 24.30.18.241224, from mobo site) it seems to have caused some issue with the existing Adrenalin Edition driver for the discrete GPU - the Adrenalin software no longer appears in my program list, and when I try to re-install this, windows asks if I want to downgrade the driver. (I'm paraphrasing from memory.)

qcwlan64.sys wireless lan driver took too long to respond to a request and caused the bugcheck.

file qcwlan64.sys
Timestamp: Tue May 21 20:13:58 2024
Manufacturer Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
Product Name X870E AORUS MASTER

https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X870E-AORUS-MASTER/support#support-dl-driver-wlanbt
has a driver update dated oct 16 2024
I would give it a try as a first fix attempt.

looks like the system was asleep, then waking up and trying to set the power to the driver and it did not respond. You might tell the system not to let the driver sleep. Then look for a update driver.
BiosReleaseDate = 12/19/2024
looks like some drivers were not updated when the bios was updated.

Thanks, I'll look into this.

Thanks, I'll look into this.
Here is instructions for a work around that someone else wrote up>
Go into Device Manager --> Network Adapters --> Right Click your Wifi network adapter and choose properties.

In the "Power Management" section uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". Also make sure under the Advanced tab under the "Idle Power Down restriction" you select disabled and make sure any "WakeOn*" properties are disabled as well.

I would suspect that the driver claims to support a power state that it did not actually provide proper code for.

Tried installing driver version [11.21.0903.2024] - it's a bit odd, using either device manager or executing the download itself gives the same result: driver installed looks like this one with the version number slightly wrong (1126.21.903.2024) and the date not matching (3/09/2024).

Re the power management - I seem to have been able to make those changes, only on the 'power management' tab 'allow this device to wake the computer' stays grey selected (can't unselect that, and none of the options under Advanced change that status).

So perhaps at this point I just wait and see if the problem recurs, or is there something else to do?
Thanks again
