Looking for help with hiding data usage from isp (comcast)

I am looking for a way to hide how much data I use from my isp each month. I know I can use a vpn to hide what I download, but how do I hide how much I download from being seen? I know that this is possible somehow, for a few months it would show that I had zero data usage on my account, but I had an issue with my connection and had to call in and they sent out a refresh signal to my modem and bam, now they see all the data Im using. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You cannot hide your usage from them unless they make an error on their end and do not track your usage. When you had the problem and they corrected it they also activated the data volume tracking on your connection.
